Alison Firth

Alison first rolled out her yoga mat in the dynamic world of Ashtanga, training under Brian Cooper. But as her journey unfolded and her practice deepened, she found herself drawn away from the fiery Yang energy toward the grounding calm of Yin Yoga—an ideal complement to her work as a physiotherapist at the time.

After retiring in 2020, Alison didn’t slow down—quite the opposite! She continued her studies with renowned teachers Catherine Annis and Garry Carter, exploring new ways of moving and being. In 2021, she returned to Salisbury Yoga Studio, where she now shares her unique and soulful blend of practices.

Her classes weave together the quiet stillness of Yin, the gentle exploration of Scaravelli-inspired movement, and the mindful rhythm of Slow Flow Yoga. The result invites students to slow down, tune in, and move with a sense of ease and curiosity. A deeply nourishing experience, blending stillness and subtle strength.

Eve Cameron – Yoga for Perimenopause & Menopause

Eve has been practising yoga for over 35 years – teaching for five. She has a special interest in yoga for perimenopause and menopause, which lead her to study with Petra Coveney – founder of Menopause Yoga.

Every woman will go through the menopause and every woman’s experience of it is different. While some sail through this time of hormonal change, others will experience at least one of the 30 plus symptoms created by her fluctuating hormones, especially the decline in oestrogen.

Menopause Yoga classes are different to other yoga classes in that they offer women an opportunity to understand the changes occurring at this life stage and to share experiences and resources. This is in combination with a practice of carefully-chosen poses, movement and breathing techniques that are drawn from a variety of traditions and styles including Hatha and Restorative yoga. The sessions also include empowering affirmations and meditations.

As part of a holistic toolbox, Eve is passionate about the benefits of Yoga for Perimenopause, Menopause and Post-Menopause. Her classes which are specifically designed to help manage physical and psychological symptoms, easing the transition through change to improve future wellbeing
