Gentle Hatha Yoga

Gentle Hatha Yoga

Suitable for all levels of ability, however this is an ideal class for beginners. The class provides simple stretches and breathing exercises to tone the body, reduce stress & release tension.

Pregnancy Yoga

This class is suitable for anyone after the first 12 weeks of pregnancy. Yoga experience is not necessary to join this class which features gentle stretches and breathing exercises specifically for mums-to-be.
A wonderful nurturing session bringing awareness to mind, body and spirit, helping you to connect with your baby.

Intermediate Hatha

A dynamic & challenging session - possible the most challenging yoga session in Salisbury. As the name suggests this is an ideal class for student who have experience of yoga, however beginners are welcome but be prepared to work.

Tuesday

Pilates 6 Week Beginners Course

Pilates is a form of exercise that focuses on balance, posture, strength and flexibility. This 6 week beginners class is suitable for all ages and fitness levels.

Modified Pilates is a technique based on Joseph Pilates’ traditional exercise repertoire. It provides a safe and effective exercise methodology which is extensively used in rehabilitation after injury and also to improve performance and prevent the risk of injury in all types of activity from routine daily tasks to high level sports.

Pilates 6 Week Lunchtime Course

Looking for an exercise class to get you moving and revitalised at lunchtime. This 6 week course focuses on improving posture and tone.

If you have difficulty getting up and down from the floor, this chair based yoga class is ideal. Joint mobility exercises are combined with gentle stretches to keep the body mobile, easing aches and pains.

Yin Yoga

Yin Yoga

A deep and gentle yoga practice that provides a complement to more flowing, dynamic and active yang practices such as Hatha, Ashtanga, Sivananda, Bikram.  The concept has its origins in Taoist yoga practices in which yin-style poses were practiced for the purpose of improving health and longevity.

This style of yoga is characterized by the stillness and slowness of the practice in which poses are held for 3-5 minutes and sometimes longer.  The aim is to safely load the connective tissue of the body, that is the tendons, ligaments and fascia without muscle and core activation or support, this allows it to lengthen and release creating freer movement around joints so that active muscles can work more effectively.

Yin/Yang Yoga

Yin/Yang Yoga

Uses yin style postures at the beginning and end of the practice to help encourage the passive structures of the musculoskeletal body such as the tendons, ligaments and fascia to lengthen and release by loading them in very specific ways.  The aim is to help ease unnecessary tightness and tension from these structures so that the active muscles can work more freely and effectively. The body of the class is a flowing yang style of hatha yoga, which promotes movement and mobility, which demands muscular engagement with core strength.

Restorative Yoga

Restorative yoga used only a few simple poses including light twists, seated forward folds and gentle back bends to enable you to completely relax and calm the mind. This is a deeply relaxing class, coupled with the beautiful sound of singing bowls. The perfect antidote to a hectic lifestyle. Sound therapy is open to everyone whatever your level of experience or physical ability. 

Please note sound therapy is not suitable for anyone with tinnitus, deniers, epilepsy, metal implants, pacemaker or during the first 3 month of pregnancy.
